DonDon McNabb, was inducted into the Eaton Rapids Public Schools Alumni Wall of Fame Thursday, May 9 at the Eaton Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce 2019 Annual Dinner. The Wall of Fame is a place where alumni are recognized, congratulated, and place to share their successes with the community. Inductees are Eaton Rapids Public School graduates and have made a significant and positive professional or personal accomplishment and have gone on to do great things.

Mariah Burnett Joins Triterra

Mariah Burnett, previously an intern for Triterra, joins the Triterra team as a Geologist. Mariah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Sciences from Michigan State University (East Lansing, Michigan) along with a Professional Geographic Information Systems Certificate from Michigan State University (East Lansing, Michigan). Mariah’s work at Triterra will focus primarily on contaminant investigation and remediation projects along with aiding on environmental due diligence projects. Her responsibilities include coordinating field work, communicating with subcontractors, completing subsurface investigations, overseeing remediation work, and preparing technical reports. Mariah has a thorough understanding of Part 201 (Environmental Remediation) and Part 213 (Leaking Underground Storage Tanks) regulations, which allows her to evaluate sites and determine effective and economical solutions to environmental situations that arise from our client’s operations.

The business leaders have spent nearly 3-4 months – roughly 100 class hours – at Wayne State University studying a business and management curriculum designed by Babson College and delivered by Macomb Community College and Oakland Community College faculty. The curriculum covered accounting, human resources, negotiation, and marketing, among other topics. The program also included one-on-one business advising, accounting workshops, and advice from Goldman Sachs professionals.

Triterra was awarded an Indefinite-Scope, Indefinite-Delivery contract by the State of Michigan (2019 Environmental ISID Services). The three-year contract, with an option to extend for one additional year, focuses on environmental projects where there is no longer a viable responsible party to conduct cleanup activities required under state law. The state intends to utilize this contract for investigation and remediation at non-liable party sites statewide.

 

The contract was broken down into several regions that match the footprint of each of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE)district office locations.  Triterra was selected for all districts, including Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula.

 

The services under the contract include: Hazardous Material Inspections, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Baseline Environmental Assessments, Environmental Investigation Services, Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Removals, Demolition and Excavation Oversight, Wetland and Natural Resource Services, Brownfield Development, and Per-&Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Sampling.

Bishop & VonAchen Join Triterra

Adam Bishop joins Triterra as an Environmental Scientist. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Planning from The University of Michigan – Flint (Flint, Michigan). Adam’s work at Triterra focuses on environmental due diligence and natural resource management. Adam performs Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Baseline Environmental Assessments/Due Care Plans, and Wetland Delineations. His responsibilities include historical research, site investigation, data interpretations, coordinating field activities, completing subsurface investigations, determining wetland regulation status, helping clients with Michigan Department of Environmental Quality wetland permits, and preparing technical reports.

 

 

 

Hanna VonAchen joins Triterra as an Accounting & Graphic Design Specialist. Hanna’s work at Triterra focuses on managing financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, and preparing reports. She is also responsible for managing creative design, coordinating digital media including photography, assisting with website management, producing social media content, and supporting strategic communication efforts.
